Enter by completing an entry form online. Contestants must be at least 18 years of age and must be affiliated with the university as a student, family, alumni, or faculty/staff. Entries must be made by January 27, 2017. No responsibility is assumed for technical malfunctions or entries that for any reason are not received by the judges. You can also enter as many recipes as you'd like.

From among all entries, a panel of Dining Services chefs and staff, at its discretion, will select a minimum of one recipe per recipe category plus a Grand Prize winner to be featured at the Home Sweet Home event to be held during Spring Family Weekend.

Each contributor will receive a cookbook featuring all of the contest entries. Winning contributors receive a behind-the-scenes tour of D2 at Dietrick Hall, a personalized cutting board, a personalized cookbook, and their student will receive $50 in Dining Dollars. One grand-prize winner selected from among the category winners will receive two nights lodging at the Inn at Virginia Tech during Spring Family Weekend. All travel arrangements to accept prizes will be the sole responsibility of the winners.

Upon each entrant's recipe being submitted, each entrant thereby gives Dining Services his/her permission to feature his/her name, hometown, and recipe in electronic and print media promotions. Each entrant consents to use his/her name and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Entrant acknowledges that Dining Services shall retain rights to publish the recipe online and in any print media.

In the event any complaint or claim relating to the recipe is made by any third party at any time, whether a formal legal complaint or otherwise, each entrant promises that he/she will fully indemnify and cooperate with Virginia Tech's Dining Services in such complaint or claim. Entrant's acknowledgements and promises contained in this paragraph are made only with respect to recipes chosen by Dining Services to be posted on its website. If the recipe is not chosen, no such promise is made.
