Brian Grove is the associate director of Dining Services. In this position, he provides the day-to-day oversight and management of Owens Food Court, Hokie Grill, Turner Place, Squires Food Court, and Personal Touch Catering. His responsibilities include leading, directing, and managing a high volume college foodservice program with $32 million in sales; providing leadership that is innovative, world class, and constantly changing and improving. Grove also oversees the management of national brands Au Bon Pain, Carvel, Chick-Fil-A, Dunkin Donuts, Pizza Hut, and Sbarro within supervised units. Grove ensures a high quality dining experience that has won many national awards and is responsible for customer satisfaction and enhancing the food safety programs.
Grove holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Virginia Tech. He started working for Dining Services as a student employee in 1988 with Personal Touch Catering. Over the last 20 years, Grove has served Dining Services as assistant manager in Cochrane Dining Hall and Owens Food Court, operation manager and sales manager with Personal Touch Catering, manager of Deet's Place, and training and project coordinator.
